three minor schema improvements as decided in todays CCT1

closes #51 (closed) closes #37 (closed) and closes #17 (closed)

@l.kulla for you the closing of #17 (closed) is relevant which should be the only breaking change.

according to #34 I classified #17 (closed) and #37 (closed) as "minor logical changes" warranting a midium version bump (1.0.2 -> 1.1.0) for the two affected schemas.

This allows us to keep keep the next major bump to 2.0 for the formal publication of the schema
