Breaking changes on January, 29th
On January, 29th we will be making the HZDR GitLab available to all Helmholtz users without further restrictions. In this regard, there are several breaking changes you should take care of.
For HZDR users: Revisit Internal Project/Group visibility
Starting with the change, all Helmholtz users will have the same access as HZDR users currently have. This way, the internal group/project visibility has a different meaning. All users within Helmholtz are able to see internal projects. If this behavior is not okay for you, please update your project/group visibility to private. Since sharing is caring the internal visibility choice might be your best option still. Please don't forget to think about licensing aspects.
❗ What needs to be done? ❗
If your project or group has the visibility level Internal: Change the visibility level to private, if you don't want all Helmholtz users to be able to see your group or project.
For external users: Removal of Shibboleth Login
The Shibboleth login was deprecated and scheduled for removal. This change will be effective on January, 29th as well.
❗ What needs to be done? ❗
Please configure another login mechanism via https://gitlab.hzdr.de/profile/account. Otherwise you will not be able to sign-in to GitLab after that date. Preferably, choose the login via Helmholtz AAI.
